What is the Process of Chuangbo ETFE Compounding and Pelletizing Production Line?
Main Equipment For ETFE Modification and Pelletizing
Before we introduce the ETFE modification and pelletizing process, let’s look at the main equipment we’ll use. The image below clearly shows the main equipment used in Chuangbo ETFE compounding and pelletizing production line. We’ll introduce the process in combination with these equipment, so that you can more clearly understand the advantages of our production line in ETFE extrusion.

ETFE Compounding, Extrusion & Pelletizing
Step 1: Material Selection & Feeding
- ETFE Resins
- Additives. To modify ETFE, some additives will be used.
- Pigments
- Fillers
- Auxiliaries
- Compatibilizers
These materials will be sent into the Twin Screw Extruder through the Loss-in-Weigh Feeder.
Step 2: Material Melting, Mixing & Compounding
In the Twin Screw Extruders, the temperature and pressure are controlled at desired values. The twin screw rotates to generate compression and shearing force. The selected materials will be melted, mixed, and modified under these conditions to achieve your required characteristics.
ETFE Extruder
During this process, some gases will inevitably be produced in the twin screw extruders, like some volatile substances, including monomers, oligomers, etc. Chuangbo twin screw extruders feature a Vacuum System to exhaust gases.
Step 3: ETFE Extrusion
Modified ETFE will be pushed forward by the screw. In between the twin screw extruder and the extrusion die, is a mesh-like filter screen, used to filter out impurities and foreign matter in the modified ETFE melt to obtain pure melt. The Hydraulic Screen Changer allows the screen to be changed quickly and efficiently without stopping the extrusion process. In this process, the Circulating Water Tank is used to reduce the temperature and improve production effectively.
Step 4: Extruded ETFE Pelletizing
The extruded modified ETFE will be then cut into small uniformed pellets through the Water Ring Hot Cutting.
Step 5: ETFE Pellets Drying/Dewatering
The ETFE pellets or granules will be sent into the Centrifugal Dewatering device which will rotate at a high speed to remove the moisture from the ETFE pellets.
Step 6: ETFE Pellets Sorting
After getting dried, the ETFE Pellets will pass through a Vibration Sieve which separates ETFE pellets based on size, to ensure that only ETFE pellets of desired size will be collected in the Finished Product Silo.
